Tow bar

Featured Replies

Any recommendations for a Tow Bar. Are they a DIY fit ? I’m only looking to fit a cycle rack to it

I bought both of mine from ebay, shipped from Poland.  Fitting was straightforward but fiddly; it takes a bit of ferreting to locate all the bumper mounting bolts.  I went for a euro-13 socket but it's a lot cheaper just going for the UK 7-pin version.  Electrics should come as a magic box and wiring, just follow the instructions.  BTW if you want to add the Skoda "towing magic" options (assuming they're available on your model) you'll have to fork out for Mr Skoda's expen$ive electrics.

Footnote: make sure you order the correct tow hitch - especially if you have parking assist on your vehicle.

Okay thanks I don’t think I’ve got the towing Magic system so I presume electrics double up inside the boot ?

It could have been fitted AFAIK to you model/year but you would have to check the option codes on the sticker in your service book or under the lining in your boot.  Without the Skoda magic yes, all connections can be made in the boot.
