Hi,

       I am looking for a little advice about top end noise, mileage is 40K and runs well. It sounds like a bad tappet or cam follower, I found some information on this forum that suggests the noise could be from the fuel pump. I checked for the source of noise with a screwdriver against my ear and it really does seem to be from the fuel pump area, does the pump require replacement or is there some adjustments that can be made? Any information would be appreciated.

It is a high pressure fuel system and the noise is more of a 'knock'?
