Hi all - I'm new to the forum looking for some help for my Dad's Skoda Roomster.

 

He recently noticed the dashboard backlights are not working at all. Normally they would come on with the headlights. All other instrument indications and car internal and external lights are working fine. There is no dashboard illumination adjustment on this model. We have checked all the fuses which may be relevant but they appear to be intact - although there was no specific fuse for dashboard backlights we could find.

 

Does anyone have any idea about how to fix this issue please?

I'd be taking the cluster out and having a look for any burnt-looking bits or tracks. The lighting is locally supplied from within that circuitboard as far as I can see.
