Offered well over book price for Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Ok,I know there is leeway on the other car, but, still amazed.

Fabia vRS Sept 04 54 plate 12k miles against 1 year old 1.6fsi Octavia elegance estate(fully loaded,1500 miles only)

Octavia up for

If they were offering to buy not part ex it I would say Sell it, sell it now!!!

Saying that I wouldn't touch a 1.6FSI Brown Octy as you would only be disapointed after the PD130 in the VRs.

I think they can't shift the Octy probably for the reason your SWMBO gives , hence the great offer on trade in to bring the price down more.

I've driven a Octy FSI 1.6.............GUTLESS..:thumbdwn: ....[sorry all you 1.6 drivers:sofahide: ]

Yeah, I agree with the sentiments above. See if they offer the same value when you want something with the 2.0TDi in it :)

To be honest you were expecting a realistic price for you car. By the sounds of it the chucked in all the unit 1 bonus as well as some persentage to jump up the amount they could give you for the car.

Is a very good deal, are they putting anything else in for you?

Also the vRS will sell on for about £10500, so they are not making a loss.

The motor industry is really suffering at the moment, so we are chucking it all in on deals. Also if the car is in an 'unusual' colour there is more push to take off money to sell it.

obviously a 1.6 N/A petrol car is going to feel gutless compared to a diesel turbo with more power and about twice the torque

It's quite a different car, tons of space though but a 1.6 wouldn't be all that fast. Wonder if it's fast enough to make reasonable progress in traffic without having to rev the nutz of it though, if it is it may still be worth considering.

That said if you SWMBO doesnt like the colour you're stuffed anyway :P

The old 1.6 was...can't imagine the new 1.6 will be any slower...

That's indeed a good price on the vRS, I've been offered £9k and £9400 in the last couple of weeks on a highly specced 05/05plate with 11k miles.

But I wouldn't go near a 1.6FSI either, brown or no brown.

Hi,

I'm currently looking to sell my 05 Fabia vRS (not buying another car). Car is immaculate, 10,000 miles, Xenons, ESP - just been offered

Had a 1.6 FSi for a courtesy car yesterday, and to be honest it wasnt too terrible to drive, it did imho feel underpowered for the size of car, and i did also dislike the way i had to rev the nuts off it to get any decent pickup.

Other than that it wasnt too bad

Which means my 2.5 yr old furby with 70k on the clock will be worth sweet FA :o

You open to offers? ;)
