Skoda Octavia 1.8L Laurin & Klement TSI

 

Previously had a 15 plate 2015 1.4TSI Elegance estate but that went to ex as part of divorce settlement, now looking for something to get me back into Skoda ownership instead of my Toyota Aygo x-clusive.

I like the colour 😎 (But then I like different).

 

Needs dust caps on the tyre valves.  Only one key - bit of an annoyance; bargaining chip maybe?

How much!

Much as I like Skoda, I think second hand prices are so high, you'd be better waiting with the Aygo and finding something you like in 12-24 months.

 

Of course that assumes you can and that the price matters, but even so.

That looks like a nice car, but prices are so high right now, unless I had to buy a car, I'd be tempted hold fire on buying until things settle down.

That said, if you buy with your heart and not your head, if it drives okay and it's clear according to a car history check, I'd be very tempted.

Hopefully, you can sell your Aygo at a great price to take the sting out of buying while prices are high.

Edit: Honest John's price guide is no help.

Price definitely matters, but trade-in for the Aygo is good too, had two quotes of over £13,000 for the Aygo so I'd actually get a tiny bit of cash!

Much better colour, IMO.

I love silver cars, and would have been much happier with silver than my white car.

Come on Dave, let's have some pics of the new car.

Just taken one using my phone on the drive at home so far, will try to head up to the Westbury White Horse later today and take some hi-res photos.

 

Loving how it drives, the 7 speed DSG is a much more relaxing drive than the 6 speed manual and the extra oomph of the 1.8 over the 1.4 is very noticeable, the combination of DSG & 1.8 gives some insanely high instatntaeous mpg figures (over 250mpg already seen!).

Looks great! I really do like the Octavia in silver.
