  • Hi mate...his ebay user name is rcd310...guy called Eric.   Carl

  • There is very big chance that just SW loading will solve your problem. You need SW 6276.

  • It doesn't matter, in RNS510 series you can SWDL (SoftWare DownLoad) mode by pressing 3 buttons and loading CD-R with SW burned.

Thanks worked better than expected.  Original HD OK and boot splash split fixed too.  I found a local guy who said I could get a VCDS backup cam re-enabled as the SWL disabled it.

Hello.... I am new to briskoda and have only just seen this stream. I have a similar problem with a slight variation! Over the last few months the unit seems to have degraded. Sometimes slow to start, then maps stopped working and finally a black screen with a message swl initialisation in progress which then loops for ever and nothing else works. I was told that the hard drive was faulty so got it replaced. Tried the reset by using the 3keys and got message to insert cd which I tried but couldn't as dvd drive now locked!! It has now been suggested that the mother board is faulty but before I scrap the unit does anyone have any other suggestions? My unit is ...686N with dab etc...

Hi, taking a chance that someone will read this thread from a while ago.

Mrs’s Rapid has a Columbus fitted and the looping error has arrived and “so horrendous driving without sound etc.”

the radio is a 3T0035686H, HW26, SW 6270, Maps 8477.

if anyone has or has a link to the firmware to make an attempt at solving this issue, it would be very much appreciated.

Here's hoping.
