AC / Recirc / and Heating not working.

Featured Replies

Fabia VRS 2006.

I've had the car for over a month now, and suddenly the AC, recirculation switch are not working (no lights), and when selecting the heat control to hot, the air is still cold. The fan works on all settings.

I have trawled this site, but could not find a solution, any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

The air flap is stuck, try cycling it between full hot and full cold to unstick it.

Recirculation is dodgy on most Fabias, I've had a couple and recirc didn't work on either of them.

Hi Sepulchrave,

Thank you for your quick response, I have tried to cycle the heat dial, however nothing has changed. Any other approaches, please?

Yes and? @sepulchrave suggested that the recirculation flap is stuck (I think in recirc mode?)

No Ken, sep was referring to the hot/cold blend flap, hence cycling the heat control to exercise/unstick it.

I would suggest using VCDS Lite to scan the HVAC module for fault codes. One relating to V68 temperature control flap motor would be confirmatory.

Hi Breezy_Pete,
