what does the auto button do? I have one with 2 separate lights on it. New to the car so have lots of questions lol.

You have dual zone climate control. If the auto is lit up the system works to get the area to the set temperature.

On Auto setting, the fan speed will adjust in an attempt to get the cabin temperature to commanded temperature quickly (usually full-speed) - then ramp fan speed down as temperature approaches set point.

IIRC the second of the two auto settings has a higher fan speed than the first, i'm sure it will be in the manual.
