LED bulb errors annoying me now...

Featured Replies

So it seems there is no way, in either VCP (vaghelper) or vcds to disable cold check on the main lights (H7)?

Using resistors does not seem to be really solution, to me.

well thinking about it a little more, the issue I have, after retrofiring LED reflectors, is only with cold bulb check. So I can just add capacitor, no resistor needed and that is kinda acceptable solution.

So the error is eliminated with installation of the capacitor, however interesting side effect now occurs when turning the car on, light does flash quite intensively when accessory position or ignition is turned on and cold bulb check occurs - in the video left light does have resistor, right does give error

maybe setting car as having hid is the solution?

So current attempt is capacitor > timer relay 1.5s > headlight H7. Sadly no complete working box like that probably exists. I will find out during winter when headlights gets a lot more use if this is final workaround cold bulb check on pq35.
