Hi can anyone tell me with certainty who made the rear shocks for the 2010 170 4x4 yeti please?

 

part number 1K0513029MN

Any one of the Factory OE suppliers with a supply contract at that time.

Either Boge/Sachs (same thing) or made in house by VAG at their Braunschweig plant, it should say on the original. In some instances Monroe were OE but they do not list that damper so it is unlikely.

You might think that the spec. would vary between the lightweight humble 1.2 Tsi and the full blown 2.0 170 hp 4x4, but according to the fitment list the same unit is fitted throughout.
