I replaced my flickering low beam bulb today. It had been giving errors on the dash and intermittently cutting out. I replaced with an upgraded osram and it doesn't work. The opposite side replacement bulb works. I have checked the 2x fuses under dash for left headlight fuses. The old bulb had a def brown spot on the glass. 

 

What else could be going on?

Corrosion in connector, broken/bent pin in connector, wire barely attached to connector now not attached...

 

Time for the mark 1 eyeball and multimeter to take a good look at the connector.

It all looks good. I wonder if bulb cooked the ballast. I'll swap them between headlights to check if I can work out how to take out headlamps.

So do you have HID headlamps since you mention ballast?

 

Removing the headlights is a bumper off job as the headlights are bigger than the hole in the bumper!

Sounds like a bad connection to me. If you have a multi meter you can try tracing the wires and test while someone wiggles them?
