Rocker Cover

Featured Replies

My cover has an oil leak which I'm struggling to seal as it's warped.

Has anyone used an aftermarket cover that fits ok?

I've used febi bilstein stuff in the past which seems to fit well but these are still £130.

I see darkside list an oem but this is £180 plus delivery.

ASZ engine.

There were many millions of those engines made, most are in scrapyards now, try secondhand on ebay.

I wouldn't risk it tbh, many will be in a similar condition.

What sort of seal/gasket does this rocker cover use?

A rubber one.

In which case, IME you should just be able to tighten up nuts, bolts or set screws (as applicable) near the leak. I've done this with cork and with rubber rocker cover gaskets.

I'm so calm I'm horizontal because my rocker cover doesn't leak, I'm just unclear what your question is?
