Hi I have a 55 plate blt vrs I have 2 questions I want to delete the egr can I do this by just pulling the vacuum on the top of it obviously I know a kit is better but just as a temporary measure ? Also I have a vibration slight knock on idle when the car is warm but it seems to disappear if I put ac on anyone one know what that could be thanks ?

You can't delete the EGR on a BLT without putting on the CEL.

The vibration is likely the DMF and putting on the AC raises the idle slightly.

I have just replaced clutch and it doesn't do it when clutch is depressed so definitely not that

And I'm not bothred about an engine light just asking if it would work just pulling the vacuum

It could equally be the alternator pulley. Have a listen which end of the engine it's coming from.

Ok, so it's the gearbox input shaft bearing rather than the DMF.

Pulling the vacuum will prevent the EGR from working and put the CEL on which is an MOT failure, I'm not sure what you're hoping to achieve other than that.

Sorry meant to say it does still do it with clutch depressed so don't think it's gearbox related

Did you replace the DMF when the clutch was done or not?
