Roomster 2006 comfort unit

Featured Replies

Hello

Anyone know the 6Q1 937 049 E comfort unit, which plug where goes?

I think you will find that the connectors are all keyed so that they will only fit in the correct positions.

This image may speed things up for you though:

XP4 pin 2 is the main earth for the whole unit, so you will probably find that removing that connector removes all current use.

There is a fault that I've seen a few times where a surface mount capacitor on the circuitboard inside 'nukes itself' and causes current drain. Have you had a look inside?

Towards the top of image, near the narrower connector pin:

Thank you.

I checked one by one, and when the xs2 is pluged in, then the battery draining with 140ma.

But its a can bus wires, so i dont know what is draining my battery.

sorry cornering lights

Where and how are you taking the curret drain measurements?

After how much standing time?

Are you fooling the vehicle into thinking that the door or bonnet is closed?

Try refitting your original radio, my bet is the current drain will no longer be there, if so then the reason is disconnecting your new Android one does not allow the shut down signal (which it isn't sending anyway) to be sent via the Canbus telling the other modules that they can go into sleep mode, you would need to recode the installation list to say that no radio is fitted or it will be always looking for it.

Hello

I measuring in the battery + side.

All door closed, fooled yes :D

its standing all day, and show the same.

This android radio is used long time, and this draining battery problem is newer.

so it cant be the radio,

The only thing i remember is started draining when two dashboard error come, one it the cornering light, but i dont have just a fog light.

And the side airbag error.

Again this diagram is related to mk1 fabia, but shows the items on the convenience (and drive) CAN bus.

J386-389 are window motor modules, and none of those will be on your convenience CAN bus, I believe, as you will have the newer LINbus only window motors on a 2006 car.

So that leaves J301 which is the HVAC module and J393 the Central Convenience Module (door locking etc.) I wonder if a broken wire in a door loom is making that last one stay awake when it should not be?  Not sure why the radio doesn't appear on either bus, I guess it should be on Convenience CAN. Airbag ECU (J104) not though, that's on drive bus. I think the Instrument cluster J285 also has wires from the convenience CNA bus, not shown on this diagram.

Are you sure it is a controller module?

All the controllers have more than one function and more than one electrical component connected.

Try pulling fuses after the CAN bus has gone down and keep the driver door switch in closed position. This way you can narrow down users better.
