Cylinder head studs

Featured Replies

Possibly been discussed before so apologies if it has.

Can anyone advise how ARP cylinder head studs are used regarding torque settings for my Vrs pd, am I correct in the assumption that they are the same as head bolts and also the set sequence of tightening would be the same to stop possible deformation of the head.

Also do the stud nuts require a thread lock product to keep them from loosening that would allow the nuts to be removed in future if necessary.

No threadlock, use the special moly paste for torquing them to the spec. TBH they're a bit of an ostentation, PD150 head bolts are more than good enough.
