Hello from North Staffs

Hello.

I thought I would introduce myself with a short story .

In 2001 A Skoda Superb Elegance appeared on my company car list and after seeking out a skoda dealer ( not too many back then) I opted for a 1.9TDI Auto in Saraha Beige IIRC.  3 years later and 105,000 trouble free miles it reluctantly went back and to my disappointment Skoda than was not on the list.  I lost count of the times random people came up to me to ask about Skoda and I felt like an unpaid advert with the praise I doled out!!.

Now retired I have bought myself a 2019 facelifted Superb hatch 2.0TS1  in Quartz Grey with 16000 miles on the clock , with optional 19 in alloys, auto park and virtual cockpit. So some 20 years later I am getting acquainted again with Skoda and enjoying every minute.

The new car sounds nice, welcome 🤗

Hello Stonechip :hi:

My first Skoda was a 2005 Mk1 Superb - cracking car 😎

Thanks  Varooom and  Gaz  for the welcome, hopefully good times ahead.

Yes agree Gaz about the Mk 1  Superb being a great car. From what I can remember my Elegance Auto had all the whistles and bells including sunroof, Nappa leather throughout, wood  trim etc.  It always made me laugh when all the other guys in the office were choosing 3 series BMWs and c class Mercs but always jumped at the chance to go out in the Superb for long distance customer visits. Badge snobs the lot of them
