My New Blueflame Exhaust :D

Featured Replies

Got my full turboback Blueflame Exhaust with Motorsport Cat & custom 6x4" oval tailpipe fitted on friday.

The quality is amazing. I am so pleased with it, not only does it look so much better than the pig nose original, but both sounds terrific and has made the car go like stink. The performance gain is quite noticeable.

It took around 3.5hrs to fit, although they did have to custom make a part there and then so that the tailpipe would be in the centre of the bumper cut out and not off-centre. Probably one of my favourite mods.

Here are a few pics just to show you a little bit what its like:

Lookin good :) Thinking of changing my pipe, already had the exhaust changed. That's one big sh^^hole. Stick that vRS badge on the side though man, kinda looks cheesy in the middle.

I think it's covering up a couple of holes? ;)

There's only one problem with that exhaust is the C word that was fitted. :D

It was looking good at Weston though. Even bigger tail than mine. :D

Pig nose original lol

Cheers for that, everytime I see mine I am going to think of a pigs nose now!

I demand you give me your exhaust system as compensation for the trauma :D

It looks superb harry! spot on

When you say turbo back, does that include a new downpipe?

Yes

When you say turbo back, does that include a new downpipe?

Yeah, its from the turbo back, is the downpipe in front of the turbo?

Also says sports cat, this would indicate it included a downpipe.

Is that

Sorry, I thought the cat was a good 2 feet further down the exhaust system from the downpipe as stock. :) My "system" got away with using the oem downpipe as it was in good nick and the same bore as the stainless pipe used.

But £451 fitted is a good price indeed. :)

Odd, the Milltek system is a good deal larger than the standard downpipe. I would that thought with your turbo you would have gone bigger.

And the cat is further down, still all one bit though and still after the turbo.

Well - 1/4" difference only - bore of the downpipe was 2" and the stainless pipe is 2.25" Allards do an uprated downpipe/manifold setup which I might invest in at some point in the future. :)

I thought my Milltek was 2.5 from the turbo back. In fact pretty sure it was.

And assuming the uprated manifold would mean a new turbo.

Aye - I said I wanted 2.5", but the chap bending the exhaust on my car said 2.25 would be OK. :) Mine's a "wosname" system anyway.

Could a larger bore downpipe help you get over the 220 bhp barrier?

Harry that looks awesome, so good infact it's my new desktop picture ;)

Hmmmmm..........not sure. Tailpipe looks a little big for my liking. What size is it?

Each to their own I guess John, IMO it's the best exhaust i've ever seen on a vRS.

Its a 6 x 4 incher.

I don't think going from 2.25 to 2.5" pipe is going to make my exhaust any more efficient. (or so marginal you can barely tell) The most efficient "mod" is total cat/silencer/backbox removal - So that exhaust gas gets out the back as quickly as possible.

I'm not 100% sure but I think a straight pipe might marginally lower EGTs as well? I know Des was having some EGT fun on Friday night with the blackpool locals!

Cheers mate

Got a high-res version of that pic if you want it for your desktop ;)

It sure does look sweet Harry, and if it sounds like the Blueflame on Daves Fabia, then it sounds awesome.

And a bloody brilliant price too!

All you need is an FMIC and a custom map and your done!
