Valve Cover Gasket - Silicone or Flexible Mould

Featured Replies

I found oil leaking into my spark plugs which are a fair indication that the valve cover gasket and O-rings around the sparkies have had it. But having not done it on the Skoda before, I'm wondering if it is an actual flexible gasket I need or use the silicon tube?

The local auto parts shop says that the silicone tube is the only option that comes up. Other part sites online show the same. I can't find any help online with this engine type, they all discuss using the flexible gasket type.

Anyone done this?
