Deposit placed 👍

Hi all and happy Xmas

I've put a deposit down on a 68plate Sportline plus 4x4 TDI. Not driven it yet but looking forward to it being moved over to my local dealership.

Any members have one of these and any idea or real world mpg figures?

thanks

Thanks. It’s only done 20k miles So not due yet but good to know. They do a service package which might work out good value if it needs the Haldex change next year

Haldex should have oil changed and pump filter cleaned at 3rd service.

Skoda dealers will only change the Haldex oil but for the job to be done correctly the pump filter needs cleaned. Picture shows pump filter at around 20k and why it should be cleaned.

Pretty sure the Skoda service package doesn't include the Haldex service which is an additional cost, and they won't/don't clean the gauze filter as mentioned above unless you pay more again, usually just the oil is changed. Unless the gauze filter is cleaned you'll end up with 2wd only.  Just something to bear in mind.

If it says Full Main Dealer Service History that means there can be a history of what was not done.  Oil & inspection Service and Extended Scope at 3 years isnot inclusive of additional work.

Like the brake fluid changed at 3 years, or maybe even tested @ 4.

Maybe the pollen filter was done at 2 years but not now at 4 years.

Ask them to have a 'Skoda Approved used car serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, guidelines or even schedule.

They are putting a warranty on it, you are paying a premium and do not want to pay next year to have stuff done that was overdue now.

It’s not from a Skoda dealer but will be ensuring everything is done or will get them to do it before I take it. Will take an extended warranty either way as it’s peace of mind. It was last serviced at 20k miles in June but don’t know what was done until they send me the history

@fluffy01016Is it from a Car Supermarket type place, and can they have the Service record onto the Skoda System so that if you want to buy an Extended Warranty from Skoda there is a record of the car serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines, Schedule or Spec.

As it is if the Haldex was not done it has not been to what it says in the Extended Warranty T&C's.

Yeh it’s from National company. They’re calling me Tuesday so should know by then.

I would also ask for an ash / soot reading

A 4 year old diesel with euro6 emissions equipment fitted, that has only averaged 5k miles a year, could have done lots of short journeys and be very heavy on fuel if almost permanently trying to do a DPF regen to clear out baked on residue.
