So went for a stage 1 today but couldn't be carried out as it overboosting? Any ideas of what this might be or cause ?

 

Fair play to them as they ran out of time for the day but I will take it back again to get it diagnosed and fixed first.

 

 

Where did you go mate, a mapper they should be able to diagnose that because they should have every parameter available to see.. unless it was a generic upload..!!!

I went to awesome GTI. They ran out of time as the Mechanics had packed up to go home. I'm going to take it t back next week. They tried a few softwares but mainly OEM+ stage 1.

 

They were pretty decent tbh.

Also noticed a silver MK3 VRS silver  😉 couldn't help noticed the briskoda sticker 

that was why I went to Darkside. Before they started on the car, they went out on a test drive with VCDS plugged in to give my car a check over. Albeit the horsepower wasn't as high as what I was expecting, the car drives better now.

 

Awesome is close to me, but I was wanting a bespoke map, rather than a 'flash and forget' type of map. They do appear to do such a remap type, but I was put off by them not appearing to do before and after dyno, unless there's an issue with your car.

Yea I had that in mind beforehand but luckily they did do a test and diagnostics prior and was all ok before flashing the map but apparently the fault only appeared during the Dyno after flashing so appears it's intermittent fault of the car that normally didn't show up. 

 

The OEM+ maps are good from my understanding they're the shark remaps for Skodas. 

 

I'll be taking it back next week for them to have a look and retry I'll keep you posted.

They mentioned the actuator (I think) was stuck or stayed open

Yea they are a nice crew and the oem+ maps are awesome I’ve had a shark one on my Vrs before Ben went to Racingline and then my superb was used to develop the 190 tdi oem+ map. The dyno chart on their website is my old superb diesel. 235bhp and 540nm. ‘‘Twas quick. Did over 100k miles with both cars and no dramas. I have a 272 now and that’s made 370bhp and 530nm. 
get yours diagnosed and you’ll be well happy with the oem+ 

Wow 😀that's amazing. Some good figures there at least they're a reputable map I remember Ben was the main guy for Skodas back in the day.

 

I can't wait hope they can fix it lol even after putting back to stock it felt like it was mapped 🤣unless it was placebo affect lol.

Most likely sticking turbo vanes or something wrong with the turbo actuator control or position sensor or circuits. 

Yea they did mention the actuator control, hope it's not too big of a job. I've heard a clean out of the turbo sometimes cures it ? Worst case a replacement
