Handbrake switch help

Featured Replies

I jumped into the vrs tonight to be greeted by a solid handbrake light with a continuous beeping sound as if I'd left the handbrake up after fiddling with the lever for 10 minutes I admitted defeat and jumped in the wife's car instead can someone confirm if this a handbrake switch problem please and if so where is it located and is it an easy job ? Thanks in advance

Check brake fluid level.

  1. Almost certainly.
  2. Inside the gaiter at the base of the lever.
  3. Probably, but I'd need to see it to be certain.

Did you find how to get to the switch? Mine is all so on and I think it is the switch.

You should be able to see the switch and press it through the handbrake lever hole. The console is held in place by screws, but I can't remember where they are on the Fabia.
