Before I proceed to renew my worn knob and gaiter I'm researching how to remove the existing knob and gaiter, I know how the gaiter un clips around the base what I'm finding difficulty in determining is how the actual knob and chrome lever are removed, Haynes manual is just generic poo on the subject.

Anyone have experience or knowledge how to remove it.

As ever any assistance welcomed 🙂

I do not know the specifics for that gear knob but if you release the gaiter and fold it up you may see how the knob is fitted. In my experience on other cars, in the past, the knob usually screws on sometimes with a lock nut below the knob. Lifting the gaiter may reveal all.

unclip the gaiter, lift it as high up over the handle, should reveal a clamp as in piccy above, then also disconnect the plug to the selector indicator.
