iV model stage 1 tune

Featured Replies

Has anyone done this? If so do you see/feel a difference?

The one tuner that I at least know (and shows the engine variant of the hybrid engine) about in my country estimates the increase is about 27 hp and 50 Nm of torque increase, is it worth tuning? The asking price for this tuner is around £400

Though there is another one but it doesn't show the hybrid engine, that estimates about 50 hp and 70 torque but this is just based on the 220 hp 2.0 tsi engine.

I have my Passat GTE tuned by racingline. It not only has the engine tuned but adds the full electric to GTE mode (sport mode in the superb). The claim is adding 46bhp but I'm not convinced it's as much as that. It's still good though. The big change is adding the full electric in GTE mode. In stock form it only uses about 60% of the electric in GTE mode so adding this the full combined output is best part of 280bhp and 460nm. It really shifts! Need good tyres though due to the massive torque.

I have wondered why the output is 218 and not closer to 270 in sport mode but I guess that solves that question in a way.

What about in e Mode? Any difference there?

No change in e-mode. Which is great as my commute is mostly electric through the year.

Thanks, does the hybrid mode feel better or just the same? I really feel the cars weight when I try to overtake cars whilst in hybrid mode lol in Sport mode it zooms past like nothing

It's better but the added torque of sport mode is definitely needed sometimes. On the Skoda do you have a dedicated sport button. The Passat has a GTE button so one press and you have full power.

Yes. It's by the gear lever, the first button

So, my country has dreadful amount of choices I can go to for a remaps. I've been looking around for some overseas and came across celtictuning.co.uk does anyone have any experience with them?

Doubt that's gross weight for the iV version. That could be curb weight as it's very close to the figures I found for the Passat.

Did you end up tuning your iV? Any big difference?

I've been trying to find information regarding this myself, and only numbers I find is the same as yours..

Racing line don’t do a software tune for the Skoda, the only people that do anything are the guys at Milton Keynes that do all the Cupra stuff for Seat.

Oh man so sorry I didn't even see this message.

Yes I did, I actually managed a 280 hp 480 nm tune. It feels really good in sport mode

Ah nice, when I called round  a lot of people last year ABT were the only people who could do the MY22+ car.  I found a lot of places listed the 1.4iv but couldn’t do it.

forge make a brilliant induction kit which I’ve looked at a lot, just needs their dump valve as well as it’s a tight fit.

I bought a Forge intake hose for my 280 Gen4 and the design wasn't quite perfect - it doesn't sit on the turbo intake pipe quite straight so not overly impressed with it. As high as Forge's reputation is, personally I think Racing Line will just have better experience of the engine and would consider if they have an option there too.
