Hi,

It's been a while that I had this problem.

With Android auto, everything works, but with Apple Carplay... After some minutes the audio starts to gets crackly.

I read some posts in this forum that updating the car helps resolving the issue.

The version of the software is the 8742.

Do someone have the update to fix this problem?

Thank you in advance!

I have sent you a PM

Hi, I’m having the exact same issue and the Skoda dealership don’t seem to have a good solution for me. My software version is the same as yours, and I’m connecting an updated iPhone 13 Pro Max. Were you able to get a fix for this issue?

I’d be very grateful for any help!

Thanks

@HuttieCan you say if the update is still working for you?

What update is that? Do I need to update the software from 8742? Thanks

Hi hope you are well,

I’ve recently being having the same issue on my car where I think It needs a software update as my CarPlay is also crackling when music is played, how do you actually do the update and where do you find the file? Is it as simple as downloading it onto an SD card then slotting it into the infotainment system? Any help would be massively appreciated!

Does your Software Train begin with "MEN2_EU_SKGPx?"  If yes, then the file I have is most likely going to cure the crackling sounds.

Simple to load, so if you can verify, I can send you some simple destructions and you will be golden.

Hello, please see attached file of what my system information says.

@Dyl4n That's close enough, so you will have MEN2xxxxx firmware.

I will send you a PM in a moment.

Sorry if I am possibly hijacking this thread, just wondering if anyone has found a useful wireless Carplay adapter for the Mk IV. I have tried a few on other cars, but they were all very laggy and basically crap.
