This is what I’ve found too after a month of use, in fact my biggest shock initially was just how quiet the engine is, almost imperceptible at tickover.

My best economy to date is 49.5 mpg and that was without trying, just pootling around a mix of A and B roads, I’m impressed so far.

Certainly economical - todays trip up the A1👍

The on-board computer (and speedo) seems much more accurate than previous Skoda's I've owned.

Speedo also matches Satnav speed within 1-2 mph, whereas previous cars had typically over-read speed by 3-4 mph.

My brim-to-brim calculation indicates an average of 44.1 mpg, which the car largely concurs with 👍

Looking at Honest John's Real MPG site it appears the 1.5 TSi engine offers very similar efficiency to the 1.0 TSi

Long-term average (brim to brim) is now 43.8 mpg (just passed 4000 miles), which the cars computer closely agrees with

Most recent longish (108 miles) journey yielded a very respectable 56.8 mpg (lots of 50 mph restrictions on the M1).
