Mk3 Octavia Keyless issue

Hi all, 

Looking to buy a octavia 14/15 plate in the next couple weeks. A couple I've seen have keyless and I have some questions please! I'm sure keyless is awesome, but for me it scares me with the thefts, always has! So a couple things pretty please ... 

1. Can you permanently disable keyless drive / entry etc? How does it work with starting car? 

2. If possible and disabled, is the car still at a greater risk of theft due to it having keyless systems installed or are you at no more risk than a non keyless octavia? 

Thanks all, I Plan a fair few retrofits as I just can't find what I want so I'm hoping to be a bit more involved when I purchase!
