2017 Sat Nav Question

Looking for some advice before I trawl the internet and get confused! Two main questions (bound to be more as I have only owned the car for about 8 hours!!);

1. My sat nav doesn't seem to allow me to insert a postcode, only the 1st line of the address. Is this correct or am I missing something?

2. Whilst fiddling about and looking at stuff in the car, I noticed the sat nav has an SD card for the sat nav inserted in what I assume is some sort of media centre....can I purchase a newer SD card that will 'update' the map to show new roads etc?

TIA

1. Look for the soft key labelled PTCD - very shorthand for PosTCoDe

2. I'm guessing you have an Amundsen sat nav as that reads the maps directly off the SD card. You can download newer maps from the Skoda portal (or using the links posted on here), but you MUST use a genuine Skoda SD card. I get mine off a well known auction site as the dealer price is ridiculous IMHO.

As you already have a genuine card, just back up the data, (in case  there is a problem) delete or re-format the card and load the new update onto it.

... assuming the card is large enough for the current map data. I've had to upsize to a 32GB card from the 16GB card that came with my 2016 model.
