Stuttering Superb

Featured Replies

I've had the issue for ages, had the camshaft sensor replaced, had the Mass Air Flow Sensor replaced, boost pressure sensor too, and had the car remapped. The problem went away for a short while, but not entirely. It's still there, just less frequent. The mechanic said it could be another camshaft sensor (not sure if anyone can confirm this? Has it fixed it for you?) which is located somewhere in the side near the timing belt, so I'm not sure. But I'll maybe get that done next time it's in for a service. Annoying issue for an otherwise great car.

Welcome.

Hi, yes it would be great if anyone could shed the light as I can see there is few people that had same issue and after experiencing it and trying to fix it for i while I know the feeling as is really difficult to come to bottom of it. In my case it will be little bit more “easy “ if it’s CAMSHAFT SENSOR (which I’m assuming is next to cambelt) as I will be replacing myself  my timing belt and water pump , crankshaft seal and oil pump belt anyway so while I’m going to do it I could replace the camshaft sensor.

It was a camshaft sensor and yes it did the trick.

Great mate ,I will order the CAMSHAFT SENSOR from TPS as want to be sure if I change it it will be original part , appreciate it ,thank you

Hi, yes all sorted, no issues since.

It was the crank shaft sensor,  and he also changed an oil pressure sensor  (no idea why).

The car has been fine since. Only for this original post,  it would still be the same.  The main skoda dealer could find it, or didn't look to hard.

Regards N.P

Was it crankshaft sensor or camshaft sensor please mate ? Few people mentioned camshaft sensor so getting little bit confused now…

Sorry, but the mechanic has it down as a crankshaft sensor on his invoice, that's what I looked at earlier before I replied.

But in conversations with the mechanic,  it was the camshaft sensor that was spoken about.

🙉..dam, that doesn't help you.

If it’s the sensor which is next to timing belt ? Than that’s should be camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor is located somewhere above oil sump location if I’m right (but don’t take me for my word 🙈)
