Good afternoon all, I wondered if someone could help with an issue I have with my 2011 plate 2.0 DSG TDI-CR. The engine temperature gauge never gets above 1/4 up the scale, even if the engine has been running for a couple of hours. The engine oil temp shows around 68 - 74 degrees. Can anyone suggest where the issue might be? Car has done 61k miles.

99% certain it will be the DSG oil cooler thermostat causing the problem.

 

Good news is the part is about £20 and can be DIY swapped out in about 30 minutes with only basic tools.

 

Have a search on here, there are a few guides on changing it.
