I have an issue with my gearbox when the car has been used for a while and the oil is hot. The gearbox becomes very stiff and it becomes hard to move the gearstick across the gate. Selecting gears becomes problematic and I often hit the wrong gear or not at all! I've checked the gearbox oil level which is ok and the oil still looks good.  

 

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the cause?
