AC compressor automatic first run-in adapt

Featured Replies

help me please to erase the attached error.
I've deleted all adaptations in HVAC>Basic settings because of an flap motor error, and now i can not make the Compressor first run-in adaptation. on older models i know that "Load management" in Centr. electrics>Coding>Long coding must be deactivated. But in this model there is no "Loading management" in Coding, perhaps in Adaptations but i can't find it, or skoda changed the name.

Start the car.

press and hold the AC and rear defrost button for a few seconds till they all light up. Leave it like this for 2 minutes then restart the car.

fault should now clear.

Wow, you really know some detailed stuff!

What does the procedure actually do?

Yeah; that AS bloke is a clever-clogs!

It’s a manual method to activate the AC run in procedure.

Basically it learns the end stops of the bypass solenoid and monitors the pressure of the AC system so it knows exactly what to set the solenoid to so it can achieve exact pressures.

There is also the flap relearn procedure which is;

ignition on, engine off

hold ac and recirculate button till the panel starts flashing

all the flaps will move and learn positions

when it stops flashing cycle ignition

Thaks for the response, is this Climatronic only or does it work for Climatic? - I think thats what my manual system is called.

The bypass solenoid being the one on the pump? If so then there are no stops to monitor but I can understand it measuring the system pressure against the solenoid frequency.

Are there any benefits to carrying out the procedure on a functioning system?

There are no benefits to doing it on a working system at all.

not necessarily ‘stops’ but it was the easiest word to describe it. A closed feedback loop to find out what happens when you do X Y and Z basically

the ac button works by itself today.

now i want to solve the motor problem that i started:

have you tried the flap adaptation method?

Simply ignition on and hold the AC button and the Recirculation button.

All lights on the panel will flash for about 30 seconds.

Restart car after

Clear codes and report back.

yes, but is not the "recirculation" button, is the "face air flux" button.

Yes that what I thought you meant, I wasn't being pedantic or anything just eager to learn if there were any more components that I was unaware of, for the moment its one of the vehicle systems that has not become overly complicated although the controls, flaps, servo motors, encoders etc certainly have the basics remain basic!
