is there away of knowing which discs are fitted without taking the wheels off and checking them . the car  is a 2012 diesel estate with a cffb engine it is also the elegance trim if that makes a difference ?

Jurid and Ferodo on autodoc list the Superb MK2 2.0TDI 140HP as having 282x12mm rear disc brakes with build code 1KJ.

 

However, to be absolutely sure you need to check that your car has build code 1KJ.

those 282 are the ones. now waiting for the rain to stay away long enough to fit them along with calipers and pads.thanks
