SKODA FABIA 1.2 HTP FAULT CODES

Featured Replies

Hello so every week the EML light pops up and it reads cylinder 1 misfire and the fuel trim system bank 1 too lean, i have replaced the coil plugs and the spark plug as well as the o2 sensor pre cat. Anyone else having similar issues or had similar issues?

It has a rough idle  when in neutral

Do a compression test.

Be sad if cylinder 1 result is significantly lower than 2 & 3.

If cylinder 1 has low compression what would need to be done?

Typically you would need to replace exhaust valves. Big job.

Do the test before planning anything though.

Also worth checking the hard plastic vaccum pipe between brake servo to inlet manifold for splits at both ends and also at the non return valve in the middle. Common fault with age, messes up the fuel/air mixture and also brake pedal assistance (brake pedal goes hard)

Will check them l, any idea on what the compression test should be reading at full capacity ?

Largely irrelevant, it's differences between the cylinders that matter.

Workshop manual gives this guidance though:

It doesn't really matter, it will be extremely obvious when you compare the three readings which one is the highest and which is the lowest.
