DV and CAI fitting

Featured Replies

Hello all,

New to Briskoda. Have just bought an 03 Octy vRS. Have just been quoted

I've got a forge DV and Carbonio CAI on mine. The DV is very easy to do, assuming it's a swop job, you could do it yourself in about 5 mins or less. My Carbonio involved removing the battery so the the pipe could sit down the side of it. It's not a super hard job but can be a bit tricky as it gets a bit tight around the battery area.

I just had a look at the bits you mentioned and the CAI looks straight forward enough, but the DV looks like it's an atmospheric unit. I remember reading on here that the engine in the Vrs dosen't really like these? I think a recirculating DV might be better suited. See what the other guys on here think.

You can't use atmospheric DV's on the 1.8T (well you can, but it messes up the ECU and possibly damages the MAF).

As stated above atmospheric dumpvalves are not recommended. Go for a forge007p re-circ valve (with yellow spring iirc).

I got my ABD CAI fitted for apx

i have the forge eliminator and the carbonio on mine. just love that sound.

Hi Mate

We can do you the Diverter valve , and the Carbonio CAI (mmmm) fitted all in for £396.50

The sound that comes from those are fantastic.

Throttle response will be better with a small amount of bhp
