A remap should see off an st150, from personal experience.

What event did you have a rolling race with a fiesta st150?:P

i don't see how he could be faster on the move though as you have way more torque and thats all that counts isn't it??

I'd expect a stock ST to be quicker than a stock vRS tbh - 150bhp in a crisp packet.

A remap will see you quite a bit quicker though I should think! :)

I can only assume so, he come hairin up behind me, i was in 6th at 60 and just planted it, in the wrong gear i guess, still kept a reasonable distance with him tho. Smug barstard lol

IM just a bit dubious about doing it tho, heard rumours of fuel pump failure, and got enough problems with her as it is.

Well, a local boy here has a fester ST, and I can confirm, that a remap will see that no more pass you. Ever.

Torque is nothing without BHP!!

I assume this was a private road? Because admitting to a 'race' with another car on a public forum would not be clever otherwise...

You're drivin' a frickin' diesel, what do you expect?

I think it was on a track. No harm in forum racing. Its public roads you shouldnt race on .

I don't get you. You know about pipes, plumbing, electricals and you know how to modify a car...but you still haven't understood that torque is nothing without bhp???

The average human leg has over 600Nm of torque...that don't make us faster than cars does it?

:D

You obviously have not seen Bengies car Mil:rofl:

Don't worry mate, I've lost a "spirited drive" to one too and I wasn't in sixth:eek: Was probably the third car I've lost to with the others being a VW Bora 2.8 V6 4 Motion (don't ask) and a highly modified MR2 (also don't ask) Remap is definately on the way!!:D

I'll never lose a race now. My fabia 1.2 estate courtesy car is the fastest car in the world.

I love leaving people in clouds of dust. They see Im driving a lil Fabia, they then see the crappy steel wheels, they then scratch their heads when they can't catch me .

Is that true? If so it's a superb example of the power vs torque argrument...

Yeah I have! The white 4x4 station wagon! It's not a real looker but it goes like Yokozuna on E if I remember correctly.

Yup. My heavy 'godbrother' at about 250 pounds was undergoing therapy cause he had a problem with his leg...they measured it and hit 750Nm.

Whilst we're on the subject, the day after i had the car remapped i went down a dual carriageway on my way to work going well below the speed limit faffing about with the radio (which wont play cd's by the way), with an old white car on my bumper.

Anyway i thought i'd get away from him and gunned it up to the speed limit and he was just sat there right behind me and i moved over,he shot past then slowed down as he made his point!!

I saw the badge on the back ............SIERRA COSWORTH!!

He was that close to me i couldn't see the bonnet vents.

Stock ST and vRS Fabia are quite evenly matched from my experience - off the lights the ST is quicker but the vRS pulls better once rolling - from a rolling start it was driver error if you lost. :(

Can i get my leg remapped?!

Can i get my leg remapped?!

Might cure that stutter

You'll need a much bigger clutch

and a highly modified MR2 (also don't ask) Remap is definately on the way!!:D
A remapped Fabia vRS would never see off a highly modified MR2, whether it be a straight line or in the twisties.
