Tinbin, what mods have you done to the engine to get that break horse. How good are these engines at keeping the reliability at higher outputs?

Just a Revo remap, and it was Dyno'd to check. I thought it was a bit optimistic, but the car was putting out 141 as stock!! I must have got a good'un.

I had it done at about 10k miles, now I've covered 29k, it hasn't missed a beat.

I have it serviced right on time and only ever use BP Ultimate (it had Ultimate in when it was tested) I'm sure it makes a difference.

I also use the gas very progressively, and make sure the clutch is fully engaged before turning on the power, I also tend to drive around 1800 to 3200 rpm if I want power, I never try to extract full torque down at 1500 like some do, nor drop the clutch at lights etc... - this may be why my clutch is still like new.

Oh, and the needle's touched 140 once or twice. I Want the air intake and turbo back next, would be mighty close to 200bhp then.

Cheers, Andy.

Peak torque is 1800, peak power is 4000

So the dyno might be a bit optimistic then ;)

Chris

It has been known some dynos are a tad optimistic. On the same dyno the increase tends to be roughly right though.

Still, there are tons of faster cars out there, and tons of slower ones. Most bikes will be much faster

Most bikes will be much faster

Yeah but all that pedalling makes you really tired and sweaty
