Yellow Warning Triangle - Front Assist

Featured Replies

Hi

I drive a 2017 Fabia 1.2 Colour Edition.

On the way to work this morning the yellow warning triangle appeared on the bar just below the centre display (I normally drive with the MPG display showing on the centre display).

At first I thought "what the heck is this". After driving on for another three or four miles I noticed the trip mileage display was intermittently switching from the mileage to the Front Assist symbol. It carried on doing this for 5 minutes when suddenly it stopped and the yellow triangle went off.

I was only half a mile away from work, and it didn't come back on.

Should I be worried? Should I do anything about this, or just monitor the situation?

I bet this will be expensive if I take into the dealer, everything is.

You could check there's not a leaf/twig/branch or muck/grit/****/dust at the sensor or plastic shield in front of it at the rad grille, how dirty (or not) is, or was, your front number plate?

If the problem hasn't returned then it might just have been a trapped leaf or summat.

It was a leaf, and thanks for the heads up.
