upgrading head unit woes

Featured Replies

Hi Super lovers,

I have a 2012 with a Columbus (which has failed) radio which I am replacing with a Pioneer SPH-DA130DAB.

I've attached a photo of the old Columbus unit fitted.

So I bought a Connects2 CTKSK03 Skoda Superb 2008> Black Double DIN Radio Installation Kit and took the Columbus out.

the problem I'm facing is the cable harness coming from the car doesn't fit into the Connects 2 cable harness. Also the Connects 2 output is a double connector whereas the Pioneer accepts an ISO. connection.

I'm thinking I bought the wrong package 😞 Anyone done this before and able to offer any suggestions? I open to buying a different kit if needs be.

Thanks in advance.

Indeed, you bouth the wrong kit. Ask your Pioneer dealer for the proper one.

Thanks mate. I thought as much.

What is up with the old unit?

Works fine for a while then reboots. Might work fine for an hour or 5 mins. A firmware upgrade might fix it but I’ll just bin it.
