Not impressed

It's dead:mad:

Finally gave out, after the odd limp mode moment.

Car water temp shot right up, when driving. Stopped, and on idle, went down to normal. Recovery bloke had a look, and when took the car above idle it started to smoke out of the exhaust which has never happened before. He reckoned that this is the turbo gone:eek: . Spoke to Skoda, they say it is the water pump. It has gone back to the place I got it, to hopefully get it done on the warranty. Should this be covered under a normal 3 month warranty? Have just spoken to the garage, they cannot get it to overheat again, but kicking out white smoke smelling of antifreeze?!!. they said that they have water running around the engine, so it is not the water pump. They are looking to take the head off, and get that pressure tested. Off the road til at least next week, not impressed.

Head gasket ? (would be very suprised if it was though)

antifreeze white smoke out of the exhause, that has to be the head gasket surely, can't think of how else the coolant would get into the exhaust without a pretty major internal falure otherwise.

If there is mayonaise in the coolant, then you can be pretty sure your head gasket has gone. Was something you had to watch out for on old XUD Turbos.
