Anyone here installed RacingLine lowering springs? I’d like to see some pictures of Mark 4 RS with RacingLine lowering springs .

thanks

What's the drop on the springs compared to stock?

Thinking there have been a good few lowered octavias over the years. Might not be on Racing Line... but might be similar drops/changes, just a thought :)

likewise I would be keen to know, id rather buy from Racingline as there kit is top notch.

I ordered Eibach. On paper the racingline is better but after I saw pics of cars with Eibach I got convinced . I’ll post pics after installment

Bumping this topic, I've been looking at getting some springs for my 2023 vRS Diesel 4x4 hatchback. Choice is limited to Racing Line or H&R for this spec, never used either before, always had Eibach on previous cars. Is there much difference in quality? The Racing Line springs are £50 cheaper which is a pull!

I'm not really bothered about lowering it, I just want a slightly firmer set up (car has passive, non-DCC suspension). Drove back from Edinburgh last weekend and over the North Yorks. Moors this weekend, it really pitched and rolled on some of the road surfaces - been driving an i30N for the last four years so got used to this!

I don't like the 'slammed' look, so leaning towards the Racing Line as it's less of a drop, but they aren't a brand I've used before. I'll probably also get some wheel spacers at the same time.

I was going for Ibachs but they only provide for Combi. So I got H & R . Pics attached

looks a nice drop , do you have any before and after shots ?

Likewise have you or do you need to get anything recalibrated i.e the lights or ACC ?

That’s the pic before from the same angle. Forgot to mention I use 12.5mm spacers along with the springs.

my car came with standard suspension not the adaptive .

Looks fantastic. I’m about to finalise on racingline springs. Just wanted to ask if your matrix led needed recalibration?

I didn’t like the ride after I installed the springs. Although I loved how the car looked. I have just instilled ST by KW coilovers and they’re perfect. I highly recommend them. Worth paying for that instead the springs.

Regarding the matrix headlights , no I didn’t calibrate. Never thought of that to be honest .

@Skipper91144 Have you noticed any flashing from the other side about your matrix lights? Any notable difference in the light beam height?

From what I know, lowering the car without relearning the adjustments, might indicate to the auto-leveling that the car is loaded and would drop the beams closer to you.

Any difference in this regard?

Thanks!

I don’t understand dropping the car further. Surely the ride will be unbearable and ground clearance on entry and exit become an issue?

it’s not about the drop, but lowering it using springs only makes the ride bouncy on rough roads, better to go for adjustable coilovers and choose your ideal height is ride quality. I’m happy with ST . Worth buying .
