Sensor for low screen wash on vRS?

Featured Replies

Just a quick question, does the mk1 Octy vRS have a sensor to tell you when the screen wash is low?

If it does, then mines not working. I'm not much of a mechanic, but it definitely looks like there is one connected to the reservoir.

Cheers,

Rob

There is one on the Fabby vRS so I would of thought there would be one on the Octy.

Can anyone verify this before I phone the dealer up to get it sorted?

Correct! :)

Would it be possible to put a 5 litre tank from an elegance with the sensor in it into a vRS though?

I was jsut about to call the dealer about this - laughed when i saw this... my furby had one .. why doesnt the octy then - any particular reason?

Correct! :)

Not quite my little spanner monkey ;) It does if the Octy 1 RS in question has standard fit xenons :D

Ahh well the 5 litre tank is from a car with light washers, so if you can source yourself a 5 litre thank then you should be able to put this in your octy, have it wired up and probably have somebody poke the thing with VAG-Com no?

Just the 5 litre tank would be an improvement...

Yeah but the 5 litre tank is only fitted to cars with headlight wash, so if you get one of them, then it will have a sensor in it and you can just block off the feed to the headlight washers that you dn't have :)
