Doors covered in water marks after washing

Featured Replies

Evening all.

Octavia estate, lovely and clean last night super shiny, drove it off the drive this morning, and water dripped out the mirror (at a guess) and has sprayed all over the side of car leaving dried slightly mucky looking water stains.

Also seems to happen from the rear window on estate. So frustrating.

I dry with a couple microfiber but I guess the water is pooling in places I can't get too.

Any cheap easy work around? I'm thinking can of compressed air or similar?!

If you have one, leaf blower!

If you want a serious blast of air - hot or cold - to clear water from wheels, window crevices, engine bay etc. get one of these
Having tested it against my mates, its as powerful as one of these professional dryers. He was gutted! 😂

Nearly the same consumption as a 3kw electrical fire just to satisfy a clean car OCD...................

Puddles must give you anxiety.

Not if you have it on ambient temperature. It’s just about getting rid of the water hiding behind trim, mirror housings, badges, in the rain channels etc.

Once a year (although its been close to 2 years now) I go through the rotating brush car wash to add more scratches to camouflage the others 😄 I'm too tight to pay for the drying function so I drive the short journey home and leather off then by which time all the trapped water will have been blown out, I stopped doing it at the carwash for that reason.
