Thread lost & newbie advice

Take delivery of Octy. 2.0 Tdi Dsg on Wednesday.

Saw on this site a string relating to 'what's worst about my Octy' but now cannot find. Am I too stupid to take delivery of new car? (in defence, I'm departing from Audi-land).

Partly want it for info with which to tease my dealer, but also as an alert for me - generally, everyone was fulsome in praise - hope that will be justified! My major disappointment is that the radio/cd player is rated by the less polite as 'crap', and music (classical) is v. important to me. Dealer tells me that system cannot be upgraded -is this true? And is the Audience radio/CD much better? My wonderful Blaupunkt New Yorker has to go/ be transferred to my partner's car

You lost me after the first sentence mate. Anyhow, Welcome to Briskoda.

Welcome,

I guess you are looking for things to check before taking delivery and signing on the dotted line?

Welcome. Can't answer for Audience stereo, but the old Symphony unit is not bad, if matched to some better speakers.

Can't find the thread either, sorry.

The Stream stereo in the Octy II is vastly better than the symphony that was in the Mk1 octy. I'd give it a go before you get to worried.

As for replacing it , it can be done but it isn't as easy as in the Mk1

First off you need a fascia adaptor to fit a standard stereo in - about

I've edited the misinformed carp out of my post now :o
