Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. I come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, I recently became the owner of Octavia 2 2012. I have a problem with the mechanical unlocking of the vehicle, where it only unlocks the driver's door and I have to turn on the ignition and press the button to unlock the vehicle, otherwise all the doors will not unlock except when I do it remotely

Imam problem sa mehaničkim otključavanjem vozila, gdje se otključavaju samo vozačeva vrata i moram upaliti kontakt i pritisnuti tipku za otključavanje vozilo, inače se sva vrata neće otključati osim kada to učinim daljinski

Hello @blackedition welcome to the forum. Not sure about the Mk2 - but in the Mk3 there is a tick box option in the MIB infotainment menu (IIRC - 'convenience opening') for selecting 'ALL' or drivers door only to unlock, check if the 'ALL doors' option is ticked.

If you don't have the information display (like many Mk2, including mine) you can change the way the locking system works using the Carista app through the diagnostic port. This is the same as "a specialist garage" in the handbook quote above.

 

I don't have an MFD.

I have VCDS, how could I solve it with diagnostics?
