We were talking about the Eco tips, though.

Lane assist can be programmed to be disabled on startup as well.

But only if you have VCDS or OBD11 though, unless someone knows different.

No it can't. Either you buy a gizmo from AliExpress or you have to turn Lane Enforce off on start up every time you start the engine.

Eeh? I enabled the memory function one month into ownership and I haven't had to touch it ever since. So yes, it can.

Can I ask how you enabled this please?

Must be switched off in two different places.

If they are so annoying, why don't you just turn them off?

You need to know how to turn them off first.

Ah I see, sorry I was confused, I thought you meant it can be disabled without using some sort of Gizmo. Never mind, I’ll just keep turning it off everytime I get in the car🤦🏻‍♂️

Please, let me know when you're going to reply to the statement I actually made rather than ignore it.

I've honestly never known a more hostile forum that Briskoda....

Back on topic, problem solved and no more annoying message. 😃

Yeah it’s quite serious at times isn’t it. I’ve been on a couple of other forums previously and it was a lot more light hearted😊

Yep, never been on a forum like this, does it even have moderators?...

At least they're not like the vile moderation team on  Railforums who will put you on moderation permanently or ban you for the slightest indiscretion.

I've been banned for asking for help in posting a photo! WTF?

Now I'm confused. What's the statement I ignored?

Please explain where.

That's one that constantly drives me nuts. I have to turn it off every time I start the car using the steering wheel cruise control settings (ACC or Speed Limiter, and the Lane Assist is in that menu that pops up on the virtual dash display).

I'd love to be able to turn it off and it will stay off over vehicle restarts.

Thanks

Edited: Never mind - I replied to the message (because its one of the things about my Octavia Mk4 that really bugs me!) before I'd scrolled down through the subsequent messages that explain you need an ODB scanner to set it to remember to stay off. I have a mate who's got one, so I might plug it in and see if it gives me an option to enable a memory function on that setting.
