Hi,

 

I'd really appreciate your advice regarding the wipers which sometimes only work at the highest setting.

 

Sometimes, they work fine at low or high setting as normal. However, sometimes they don't start at the low setting and only start at the highest setting. But if I lower the setting until keep working until I switch them OFF.

 

Any ideas will be very much appreciated regarding the switch/STALK or wipers motor replacement or any other issues.

Ballast resistor for the fan is the favourite. Failure is usually max speed only but you might just be seeing an almost dead resistor. Then, if that doesn't fix the issue, consider changing the stalk itself.

There is no resistor controlling the wiper speed it's only for the fan speed.

 

The wiper motor speed change is done using two sets of brushes on the motor. So either you have a problem with the stalk, the wiring or the motor - time to get out the wiring diagram and the multimeter.
