EPC and Emissions control lights clarification ?

Featured Replies

Can I just clarify, I have both but not whilst driving, no affect on running or limp mode. They are only on when ignition only is on. Is this then a preliminary warning that there's an issue that needs looking at sooner than later ?

No, I think that's just the lights self-testing. Relax.

All the lights come on when the ignition goes on which I understand is normal self testing. What I'm not sure of is why just those two stay on ?

So I was hoping that someone could check if there's does the same.

Thank you.

These two, as they are linked to engine systems will stay on with only ignition on till the engine is started.

Many thanks for that top tip.

I'd no idea, never seen that before and handbook doesn't explain either. Too much tech 🤪

Saved me a load of grief with time and money.
