Aftermarket Easyguard alarm system installation

Featured Replies

Hello, I’m trying to install the aftermarket Easyguard EC002 alarm system into my Skoda Octavia 3 2019, but without huge success. I need to find ignition wires (ON, ACC, starter), central locking wires (unlock, lock), horn wires, footbrake wires, trunk wires(release, motor), fuel pump wires (used to determine success car start), signal lights wires. I know where to find power and ground. I also found to use aftermarket ignition switch part and modify it as a terminal for alarm wires (and also learn how it works to connect them correctly). I think the most of the cables I need are located inside the comfort module (bcm) connectors, but I’m not 100% sure which ones to use. After reading the electrical pinout, I think about C14 (wale up wire), C31 (interior button) and C33 (central locking lock unit). Can anyone help me to manage to install the alarm system? Thanks in advance.

Having looked at that alarm I have a few queries...

The first is why?  If you have an Octavia III then it will already have an immobiliser and may even have alarm depending on spec.  I certainly haven't installed an aftermarket alarm system on a car since the mid 90s as the inbuilt ones tend to be decent and anything aftermarket tends to bugger the car up and cause faults.

The second is to note that that particular kit seems to be for older cars which don't have a Canbus system.  So it's unlikely to work without an additional interface between it and the car.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. I wanted to upgrade car functionality. This alarm kit adds PKE (Kessy), Start button, and most wanted phone unlock functionality with remote start (I don’t have webasto and it causes problems in winter). I will think about using canbus adapter if I find one.
