CR170 Octavia Not Starting

Featured Replies

Hi all, my 2012 Octavia's battery went flat due to the head unit switching itself on and off constantly during the night and thus killing the battery. I went to jump start the car this morning after being sat for a couple of days and it didn't seem to be giving it enough power to start, then as soon as cables/jump pack were removed it had no power at all.

I've replaced the battery this afternoon but the car still won't start, it cranks but won't fire up. It's parked on the road outside my house as it usually is, with about 1/4 of a tank of fuel. I've got access to OBDEleven but not VCDS. I've linked a video of the sounds it makes when attempting to start.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Have you had any joy in getting to the bottom of this problem?

Hey, yes I sorted it now.

Had to prime the fuel pumps a few times with OBDEleven then cranked until it eventually fired up (about 20ish seconds). It's been spot on since then and fires up straight away every time.
