Disable coasting

Featured Replies

Finally found a solution to the pita.

19 CAN Gateway, long coding.

Byte 9, untick bit 4.

(may vary on different models, but the bit name is always the same.

I do know what it means I was wondering why it was thought of as such. I can't really say that I ever notice it.

Agree, coasting can be annoying, I know you can lift off the throttle quicker to stop it or dab the brakes to get back the engine braking, however I can temporarily stop coasting on my 2019 2.0 TSi by putting it into sport mode then toggling the D/S to move the drive from back from sport to normal drive and the coasting stays disabled (as it is disabled in sport mode).

Again only temporarily however!

I'm sure there must be other ways to achieve the same result, but worth a go if you’re finding it a PITA!
